Poison in Paddington by Samantha Silvers (#1 Cassie Coburn Mysteries) --- Book Review
I just finished Poison in Paddington by Samantha Silver, and I can guarantee that you’ll love the book.
Book Synopsis
The book describes the situation Cassie Coburn is in - she’s just been in an accident and her dream to become a surgeon has been shattered as the stability of her hands has been compromised. She’s depressed but she won the lawsuit and has money to spare. So, decides to go to London to spice things up a little bit. There she meets Violet Despuis. And her adventures begin.

This book is basically a female version of Sherlock Holmes. Cassie Coburn is depressed and Violet has amazing deduction skills. All her deductions are paired with mind-blowing logic. The only difference is that Violet is French like Sylvie (Emily in Paris) but much more open than both. I loved the mystery aspect and how the author described the buildings in London. If you’re a cat lover, you’re in for a treat! She later introduces Biscuit who becomes a very important part of her life.
The reason why I gave it 1⭐️ less is because when it came to the characters in the book, there was nothing new. The mystery aspect was spot on. When you start reading the book, you think it’s just a food poisoning case, but as we delve deeper, we unravel the twist and turns.
